Lily (Mindindil) KAREDADA is one of Australia\'s most important living aboriginal artists. Lily specialises in representations of Wandjina, executed in natural earth colours. Wandjina figures are shown emerging from a veil of dots or dotted ground depicting rain. Lily paints the Wandjina with varied totems, rain dotting, lightning (Black Wandjina), turtles, cave pools with bubbles.

In 2003 Lily was awarded the Australian Centenary Medal for her contribution to art.
