Boliny Wanambi

Boliny Wanambi is the daughter of the artist, Mithili (deceased), a Marrakulu leader. She spent her chilhood at the Marrakulu homeland Barraratjpi, at Cape Shield on Blue Mud Bay. The new homeland of Gurka’wuy was established in the early 1970s by her father and artist Dundiwuy. Boliny is the widow of Birrikitji, a Dhalwangu clan leader.

Boliny has exhibited since the 1990s and her artworks are represented in national, public collections. She lives and works in Yirrkala and Yilpara, Arnhem Land, Northern Territory.
